Titles

I'm not a big fan of titles. I think they limit the person and places them in a box. I'm an occult Christian and that means some days I can be a conservative Christian and other days I'm a Witch. Some days I want a good gospel concert and other days I want full ritual. Some days I enjoy reading New Witch magazine and other days I enjoy Christianity Today. Just depends on what is going on in my life. So now I don't have a title. I don't just say I'm Christian or a Witch or a Ceremonial Magi or a spiritual devotee of Yahweh (or Ra or Jehovah..they are all the same God). I'm all of these. I am each one when I need each one. When my life shows which part of me is needed most.

I believe we should be free to explore and express our spirituality in whatever form we need for that moment. If we need to turn off the lights and sit in a circle of candles and recite a mantra so be it. If we need to be sitting in the pews of a church and listening to a sermon so be it. Whatever works for us.

A Wiccan should never allow being Pagan to prevent them from seeking Jesus or church and a Christian should never allow their Christianity to prevent them from seeking out the Goddess or magick. We should not allow religious limitations and titles to inhibit us.
