The Diviner in Me

Esoteric studies are always there like a favorite blanket. No matter how frustrating things can be become from friends who are going through so much drama they don’t have time to be a friend to favorite websites that are going through the fritz, I know that I can always count on a book to act right. That’s the beauty of a book it’s not human and it can’t break down. *end of rant*

I am a diviner and I find great comfort in my tools of divination. They normally help me organize my day and give me insight to how to handle upcoming situations. I’ve decided that I want to have multiple diviner tools. I have a number of Tarot decks as well as oracle cards. I have a pendulum and I have a gazing ball (albeit a small one). I have Egyptian oracle tiles that work like Runes and I just bought a “talking board” called The Pathfinder. I really don’t like the term “talking board” because I don’t believe the board communicates. That's the Christian in me. I'm not a believer in outside forces trying to communicate with us. I am a firm believer that answers from divination sessions come from within. The answers we get are the truth that has been within us all along but we don’t see the answer because of many reasons. I think what impacts our divining sessions is the truth that our Creator places in our hearts. And that is what guides our hands to pick the right card or the move to the right spot on the board.

So I’m excited to use the board and to help get in touch with my inner self and find out answers to questions. Answers I’m sure I already know but need help seeing the true picture. I picked this board the Pathfinder because it has a Shaman feel. A tribal native earth connection feel and I like that perspective. I’m a student of ancient Egyptian spiritual teachings and they were very connected with the earth and the heavens. So I like spiritual tools that embrace that same philosophy.

I happened to come across your blog while doing a search on Christo-Paganism and I'm glad that I found it. I too am a Christo-Pagan and I have an online journal about my experiences with this path. The Egyptian oracle tiles are something I've never tried but I do use Rune cards and Lakota Sweat Lodge cards. If you don't mind, I'd like to give your blog a mention on mine.

Sure you can give my blog a mention. I'm always glad when others are discovering Christo-Paganism and its many versions. Many more people are developing an interest and relationship with Christo-Paganism and realizing their relationship with divinity is growing.
